The PACTE law: Changes affecting patents

The French PACTE law implies deep changes in patent prosecution and strategy: extension of the term of protection afforded by utility certificates; possibility to file provisional patent application before French Patent Office; full examination of patentability, including inventive step; and introduction of an opposition proceeding.
