World innovation ranking 2020: France gains 4 positions

[18/09/2020] France moves up, this year, from 16th up to 12th position of the most innovative countries according to the Global Innovation Index established by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Institute of Business Administration (Insead) and Cornell University.

This performance can be explained in particular by the quality of its digital infrastructure and education, as well as by the improvement of French publications in major international magazines.

As a result of this progress, France has been able to overtake China, the country with the most significant growth over the last years.

Switzerland remains at the top of the index, followed by Sweden (2nd), the United States of America (3rd) and the United Kingdom (4th).
