Accession of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Locarno Agreement

The Kingdom of Bahrain has ratified Law No. 21 of 2026 approving its accession to the Locarno Agreement.
The Locarno Agreement, signed in Locarno on 8 October 1968 and amended on 28 September 1979, establishes a uniform classification system for industrial designs. This system facilitates their registration by categorizing them into classes and subclasses recognized internationally.
By adopting this classification, Bahrain becomes the 64th member state of the Agreement and strengthens its strategy of progressively aligning its legislation with international standards.
