Hague System: new possibilities for the timing of publication of international registrations

[03/12/2021] From 1 January 2022, it will be possible to choose between three options concerning the date of publication of international registrations:

– the default “standard publication” whose time limit will increase from six to twelve months after the date of registration,

– the “immediate publication“, i.e., shortly after the registration,

– the “publication at a chosen time”, which may be prior to the “standard publication“or deferredup to 30 months from the filing date or, from the priority date in the event of a priority claim based an earlier filing.
