EPO fee increases from 1 April 2026 – Anticipate your payments!

The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced an increase of approximately 5% in most of their official fees effective from 1 April 2026. This increase applies in particular to:
- Search, examination, designation, claims and grant fees
- Renewal fees
- Fees for further processing and for re-establishment of rights
NB: The increase will apply to any fees paid from 1 April 2026.
