The SME Fund, an initiative by the EUIPO, has been renewed for 2026 to assist SEs and SMEs in securing their intangible assets.

Key Benefits:

  • Grant Amount:
    • A subsidy of up to €700 per company for Trademarks and Designs.
    • A subsidy of up to €3,500 per company for Patents (€1,000 for National Patents and €2,500 for European Patents).
  • Coverage: Reimbursement up to 75% of official filing fees.
  • Eligibility: All SEs and SMEs established within the European Union.

Strategic Requirements:

  • Prior Application: The grant voucher must be secured before any filing.
  • Availability: Budget is limited and allocated on a “first-come, first-served” basis.
