Mexico Joins the Hague Agreement
On 06 June 2020, Mexico joined the Hague Agreement for the international registration of industrial designs. Mexico is the first Spanish-speaking country in Latin America to join the Hague System and becomes thus the 64th contracting party of the 1999 Act of the Hague Agreement and 74th member of the Hague Union.
Since then, applicants of international designs may protect their rights in Mexico through a single international application and set of fees.
