The Canadian Intellectual Property Office will increase its official fees in 2024

[06/11/2023]

On 1 January 2024, the majority of official fees charged by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (“CIPO”) will increase from 25% to 36%.

This increase will apply to any applications for patents, trademarks and designs, as well as costs related to formalities and administrative procedures.

In order to avoid the repercussions of these additional costs, we recommend that, as far as possible, you take steps in this country before the end of the year.

Our teams are on hand to advise and support you.
