Samoa Joins WIPO’s International IP Systems

On October the 2nd 2019, Samoa joined the Patent Cooperation Treaty, the Hague System for the international registration of industrial designs and the Lisbon System on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications.

Samoa becomes thus the 153rd contracting party of the Patent Cooperation Treaty, the  62nd contracting party of the Geneva Act (1999) of the Hague Agreement and the 72nd member of the Hague Union.

The accession to the Patent Cooperation Treaty and the Hague System will enter into force on January the 2nd, 2020.
