China Joins two international Treaties

During the opening of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, China joined the Hague System for the International Registration of Industrial Designs, as well as the Marrakesh Treaty , which makes the access to specially-adapted books for people with blindness or visual impairments easier.

China's accession to these two treaties will come into force on 05 May 2022.

Since then, applicants of international designs may protect their rights in China through a single international application and set of fees.
