Brazil Joins the Hague Agreement: starting on 1 August 2023

On 13 February 2023, Brazil joined the Hague Agreement for the international registration of industrial designs. Brazil becomes thus the 71st contracting party to the 1999 Act and 79th member of the Hague Union.

The entry into force of this ratification on 1 August 2023 will thus allow applicants of international designs to protect their rights in Brazil through a single international application and set of fees.
